Care of Texeler Wool Products

All Texeler wool products are manufactured from the finest materials using the highest standards of craftsmanship.  Great care is taken to preserve the natural lanolin content of the wool throughout the cleaning process.  Texeler products should always be used with appropriate covers.  We recommend only 100% pure cotton covers to maintain the natural breathability of Texeler wool. Regular airing should be sufficient to provide many years of satisfying use, without the need for washing or dry cleaning.

Should cleaning be necessary, care must be taken not to harm the wool's natural lanolin content which is so critical in providing the durability and benefits of Texeler products.  For duvets and mattress pads, Texeler recommends removing stains by hand with a soft brush and mild wool-friendly cleaners.  Pillow covers can be removed for gentle washing in cool water. Never hang wool products to dry when wet, and never subject natural wool to a dryer. 

Texeler products can be dry cleaned if necessary, although the harmful effects of dry cleaning chemicals on the environment should be considered.

Wool products should be stored in a dry, cool environment. Never store in plastic.
